As a PSNH customer using electric heat, you can participate in a great program that will help reduce your electric bills and make your home more comfortable.
By signing up for the NHSaves Home Energy Solutions program you are entitled to a free energy audit, and PSNH will contribute up to $4,000 towards energy efficiency improvements in your home. Typical improvements include: attic insulation, programmable digital thermostats, draft sealing, new bathroom fans, low-flow aerators and showerheads, energy efficient lighting, and in some cases Energy Star-qualified replacement windows. Some eligible improvements are made at no cost, and others involve a homeowner co-pay. Typical improvements at Eastman Village may total $1,500, with only a $200 co-pay. What could better than having the electric utility pay for home energy improvements?
Why does the electric company want you to use less electricity? The NHSaves program is the result of a New Hampshire law that is funded by the small "Systems Benefits Charge" found on every electrical bill. Electric utilities are offered incentives to reduce electricity demand, so the more electricity they can save, the happier and healthier we all are.
Other Eastman Village condo owners have already participated in the NHSaves Home Energy Solutions program and have been very pleased with the results. We encourage you to do so as well.
